St. Albans

Location: St. Albans Hertfordshire

We are pleased to announce our recent appointment as Party Wall Surveyor to the Building Owner on a new residential development in St. Albans Hertfordshire, comprising a plot for two buildings, set to be constructed with screwpile foundations in close proximity to neighbouring residential properties.

Given the complexities of the scheme, our role under the Party Wall etc. Act 1996 has been pivotal in ensuring that adjoining owners’ interests are properly protected. This includes the agreement of robust safeguards, the holding of security for expenses, and the careful administration of procedures designed to prevent damage and disruption throughout the works.

The site itself carries added challenges, having previously been developed in a poor and unsatisfactory manner. This makes it all the more important that the current project is managed in full compliance with statutory obligations, ensuring confidence for adjoining owners and a clear framework for the developer.

We are proud to support an ambitious and upcoming developer on this project and look forward to building a strong and long-term professional relationship as the scheme progresses.
