A wraparound side and rear extension with a substantial loft conversion to transform an existing single-storey bungalow.

We are pleased to share the latest progress from one of our residential projects currently under construction in Sevenoaks, Kent.

The project involves the complete transformation of an existing single-storey bungalow through the addition of a new wraparound side and rear extension, together with a substantial loft conversion incorporating new front and rear dormers and roof windows.

With much of the original roof now removed, the new timber structure and structural steelwork are beginning to define the scale and form of the redesigned home. The additional storey is taking shape, the new window openings are clearly visible, and the extended floor area is starting to demonstrate how significantly the property will change once the works are complete.

The proposals have been carefully designed to substantially increase the usable accommodation within the property while creating a brighter, more practical and contemporary family home. The combination of the ground-floor extensions and new loft accommodation will provide generous additional living space and make far better use of the existing building.

At this stage of construction, it is particularly rewarding to see the architectural and structural designs coming together on site. Watching the project progress from drawings into a fully formed building provides a clear sense of the scale and quality of the completed transformation.

Our architectural services have included feasibility advice, measured building surveys, architectural design, preparation and submission of the relevant approval applications, technical design development and coordination throughout the construction process.

We will continue attending the property as the work progresses, supporting our clients throughout the build and assisting with any queries raised by the contractor or Building Control.
