With thanks to Atelier Ellis Architects, since establishing Videre Architects & Surveyors Ltd. we are pleased to be collaborating and offering Architectural support on an exciting redevelopment scheme in Cardiff for office use on a very constrained site in Cardiff. We are working on behalf of our client who will be relocating their business to this site, creating a bespoke new office and recording studio space.

Acoustics are a key design consideration, particularly due to the site’s close proximity to a major railway line. We are working closely with our client to finalise the proposals, collaborating with an Acoustician, Furniture Specialist, Mechanical and Electrical Engineers, Structural Engineers and CDM consultant to ensure the design meets their operational and technical requirements. The project involves the full demolition of the existing dilapidated structure, with the retention of key boundary elements including the adjoining gable walls and chimney stack. Careful consideration is being given to the substructure design and construction methodology to minimise risk to neighbouring properties and the adjacent railway.
